This Everest Base camp with Kalapathar trek based on for the well experienced hikers and if this is not suit you then you can take alternatively as 20 days one. On this trek itinerary we follow an ancient route that will take us through farm villages, across the valley and through the high mountain and monasteries. The views grow even more spectacular as we venture up the Dudh Kosi River to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. Trail leads you to Pangboche via Khumjung village, where you will be rewarded with spectacular view of Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest & Lhotse, Thamserku, Kwangde, Tawache. The route follows the Imja valley to Dingboche and up to outstanding view point of Kalapathar and Everest base camp and return to Lukla. Everest trekking region is situated in Sagarmatha National Park which is listed by world heritage sites by UNESCO, which offers the spectacular view of the highlights of higher mountains as well as friendly Sherpa people along Mt. Everest. Himalayan wildlife commonly seen as musk dear, mountain goats, colorful Pheasants besides these rare species of Red Panda & Snow Leopard are an another attraction for the visitors. Pine, Juniper and birch tree are the common forest here as well as colorful rhododendron flowers welcome you on spring. Monasteries can be found most of the places in bottom part, which makes you spiritual soul, and the fluttering flags are the symbol of peace in the Himalayas.
   Day 1      
Namaste & welcome to Himalayan Planet of Nepal. While you land at the Tribhuvan international airport, Himalayan Planet Adventures representative welcomes you with your name and assists to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. After time to get refreshed, bring you at head office for briefing about the program. In the evening we pick you up for welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural program in the heart of Kathmandu.

   Day 2      
Early morning you are transferred to domestic airport to fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft). It is a 35 minutes’ scenic flight to Lukla airport (2,800m/9,184ft) and after arrival in the airport you will have tea break, while the guide sort out and divide the load baggage to be carried by porters. Guide will manage the lunch place depending upon the time of arrival at Lukla. The trek starts with most scenic view of Numbur Himal & Phari. We further on to Phakding passing some Sherpa farm villages. We follow the trail to Dudhkoshi River with gradual with few ups from Thado Koshi, where you can have a lunch with superb view of Kusum-Kangaru (6,369m/20,890ft) crossing a short suspension bridge, from here after a short climb brings us to the Ghat village, another 1 ½ hr of gradual walk brings you to Phakding village for the overnight stop at lodge after atound 4 hours walk and remaining time you can stroll around the village.

   Day      
The trek starts in the morning and after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh-Kosi the walk is pleasant with few short uphill and downhill trails and re-crossing the same river again with magnificent view of Mt. Thamserku (6,608m/21,675ft) from the Benkar village. Trek continues crossing the bridges and reaches at Monjo which is the entrance gate to the Sagarmatha National Park, where your trekking permit is checked and the record of all trekkers going to and from this place including the local trekking staff as well vis maintained. After entering the National park boundary, we descend and a gradual walk brings us to the suspension bridge over the Bhote-Koshi river. After the bridge we approach Jorsal village which is the last village till Namche Bazaar. From here the walk is pleasant on the river bed till the last bridge over the Imjatse river is reached, from here the walk is along the winding uphill path all the way to Namche Bazaar. With magnificent view of Kwangde peak and other sister peaks towards east with Kusum kangaru on the back as you climb higher, view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and the closer view of Tawache peak can be had from some part on the way to Namche. Finally, we reach at colorful houses called Namche Bazzar main gate of Khumbu region after about 6/7 hours walk. We stay overnight at a lodge in this beautiful village.

   Day 4      
This is an acclimatization day hence we continue to walk further on same elevation in Namche which may have good practice of acclimatization for the trek. This morning after breakfast we head to a steep climb upto Syangboche airstrip and further walk to Everest View Hotel, the most luxury hotel in Khumbu area. There we can stop for tea break and descent to Khumjung village (3,790m/12,431ft) for the Lunch. After lunch at Khumjung we descent half an hour to village of Kyanjuma/Sanasa for overnight stop. Kyanjuma is best place for Himalayan Wild life as Musk Deers, Pheseants, Himalayan goats and many more with the best view of Mt Ama Dablam.

   Day 5      
After stroll around the Kyanjuma area, today we freshen up ourselves and go for fairly easy to walk further on. Our walk follows on the gradual downhill overlooking magnificent view of the great giant snowcapped peaks of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kwangde Himal. We descend to Imjatse River at Phungithanga, a small settlement with couple of teahouses. The trail leads uphill through the forested path of silver fir, blue pines, rhododendron and a few magnolia and birch trees before getting to Tyangboche. This is one of the most beautiful places in the Himalaya. The first thing that comes to your eye is the big Monastery or Gompa, then the large field with campsites and teahouses, lodges beneath the majestic peak Ama Dablam, Everest, Mt. Lhotse and Lhotse Shar towards north east and more peaks all around you. We stay here on return but after lunch at Tyangboche we start our trek. An hour of pleasant walk and descending through a forest of birch, fir, juniper and rhododendron and arrive at alovely spot of Deboche at the elavation of 3,650m. We have a magnificent view of mountains from there. We walk past the long prayer mani wall, and cross a bridge walk upto the Pangboche village for the overnight stay after 5 hours of continuous walk.

   Day 6      
After Pangboche village we trek onwards to Dingboche village from where the lush vegetation and tree lines vanish. We enter the Imjatse valley to enter to Dingboche village after about 5 hours walk. We have a great view of the mighty peaks of Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Lhotse along with the view of the eastern snow capped mountains including the Island peak or Imjatse 6,189m, which is a popular peak amongst all the trekking peaks in Nepal. Dingboche is a beautiful patchwork of field enclosed by stone walls, protecting the crops of barley, buckwheat and potatoes from the cold winds and grazing animals. Dingboche has about more than ten teahouses and it is also the gateway to Chukung and further beyond for the most challenging traverses towards Makalu area and Hinko Valley via Sherpani col 6,100m and Amphu Laptsa pass 5,780m.

   Day 7      
Today we rest for acclimatization at Dingboche valley. You may have full day rest or there are some places where can go for a day walk like trek to Chhukung 4,730m is worthwhile which takes approximately 4 hours from Dingboche, towards east within the Imjatse Valley. although the trek is gradual, however you can feel the thin air as the altitude gains slowly coming towards Chhukung. At Chhukung, there are few teahouses overlooking superb view of the snowcapped peaks and glaciers of Lhotse, Ama-Dablam and Imja. Chhukung valley is the last settlement in eastern Khumbu region. After enjoying a stroll, you are back to Dingboche for overnight stay.

   Day 8      
Today the trail diverts towards north, the path is gradual up for about an hour as you come to a mani-prayer Stupa, from here the trail is gentle on the hard meadow looking down below Pheriche village and today’s walk offers beautiful view of the scenic mountains. After a pleasant walk through the ridge we reach at Thukla, an hour steep climbing brings you to the top, where you can view Mt. Pumori and other peaks west of Everest. The spot here is very good pl for a few minute's break after the strenuous climb. Close to this spot you can also see a number of memorial monument of the unfortunate climbers who died in expeditions around the mountain of this region. We continue our trek to the Lobuche further an hour for overnight stop there.

   Day 9      
Today, we walk in the morning towards the Gorakshep. After 2 hours walking in a windy and rocky path we arrive at Gorekshep for our overnight stay. This trails offers the wonderful view with Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, other peaks, Everest Base Camp, Kalapathar and below the Gorekshep valley including top of the world. After check in at a hotel our adventure continues towards Everest Base Camp and to the Khumbu Ice-fall. The path from Gorekshep can be misleading, follow the lead Sherpa, every year the trail changes due to the movements of the glacier, the walk is quite strenuous due to the high altitude and thin air, the walk passes through over rocky dunes and moraine and streams, until you reach the base camp. Everest Base Camp is lively with commotion during the high expedition season. It takes about 3 hrs to get to base camp. After a most memorable time here you start the journey back to Gorekshep for the overnight at a lodge.

   Day 10      
This morning we start early to steep climb to the Kalapthar which takes 2 hours walk on a normal slow pace. After reaching the top, you feel highly elated as your dream come true. That becomes the most rewarding moment ffor you since the beginning of your adventurous journey. Top of Kalapathar is a small rocky peak on the southwest ridge of Mt. Pumori, the view from here is beyond imagination as the Everest looks amazing, the panoramic view from this spot is something to cherish, and you feel its worth the hard climb up to here and to feel at the top of the world, and can be seen to the south Khumbu glacier sweeps below you, and you can also see the Everest Base camp down below on the moraine of Khumbu glacier and lot of picturesque scenery. Stroll back to Gorekshep for breakfast and we walk fairly easy down to Pheriche for the overnight halt. It takes around 5 hrs walk down and during the walk may get a severe wind hence better to start early. Pheriche has Himalayan Rescue Association Office and you can visit it after 3 pm in the afternoon. We stay overnight at a lodge at Pheriche.

   Day 11      
The walk today is easy heading downhill to a lower elevation. From Pheriche the walk is pleasant all the way to Tyangboche. After Pangboche village we walk further down to Tyangboche which arguably is one of the most beautiful places in the Himalaya. The first thing that comes to your eye is the big Monastery or Gompa, then the large field with campsites and teahouses, lodges beneath the towering peaks of Ama Dablam, Everest, Mt. Lhotse and Lhotse Shar towards north east and more peaks all around you.

   Day 12      
Trek down to Phungithanka a small settlement with couple of teahouses. The trail leads down hill through the forested path of silver fir, blue pines, rhododendron and some magnolia and birch trees. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river, we trek onwards to the Sanasa and retrack to Namche bazzar for the overnight stay.

   Day 13      
After a long walk today we come to the end point of our trek when we reach back to Lukla. Firstly, we descend the long way before crossing the bridge and further walk to Monju and then Phakding for lunch. We trek back enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village. After long walk of about 8 hrs we arrive at Lukla where we have time to stroll around the areas. your tour guide re-confirms your flight ticket to Kathmandu. You are invited to join a dinner to celebrate the success of your journey to the most enjoyable trekking ever with your crew members.

   Day 14      
The flights to Kathmandu are scheduled for morning normally because of the strong wind in the afternoon in this area. Sometimes the flight can be delayed due to bad weather and other reasons beyond our command. Anyway we fly back to Kathmandu on day 14 of our trek. Your guide will transfer you to the hotel. You have time to relax after long journey and take back your breath and rest at your hotel marking the end of your Himalayan trip with us.

   Day 15      
This day we reserve for if the flight cancelled then not to miss the international flight. If we fly already this may have pleasant day for you and have full day at leisure at your own or can be extended as your extra trip for one- day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley with us on additional cost or you may use the time to explore Thamel, the tourist's hub in Kathmandu where you can do last day shopping. In the evening company will invite you for a farewell dinner.

   Day 16      
Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you’ll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.
